onna and Victor Widenbaum
of San Ramon, Calif., formerly
of Southfield, are delighted to
announce the engagement of their daughter
Amy Lynn to Ian Livingston Mendel, son of
David and "Catchy" McDowell of Ann Arbor.
Amy earned her master's degree in social
work from Wayne State University. She is
a clinical psychotherapist and marriage
and family therapist in private practice in
Livonia.
Ian received a bachelor of science degree
in sociology with a minor in political science
from Hope College and earned postgraduate
certifications in photography and digital film production. He is a freelance pho-
tographer, documentarian and movie producer.
Amy and Ian met through their dog playgroup in 2009. A June 2011 wedding
is planned at the Detroit Opera House.

auren Shubow and Mark Redding,
both of Atlanta, Ga., will marry on
March 20, 2011, in Atlanta.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and
Elisabeth Shubow of West Bloomfield. Mark
is the son of Gwen Redding of Baton Rouge,
La., and the late Earl Redding.
Lauren is a graduate of the University of
Michigan Law School. She is an attorney
for the Public Defender's Office in Fulton
County, Ga.
Mark is a graduate of the University of
Georgia Graduate School. He is a project
manager for Secureworks in Atlanta.

Reichwein-Rochkind

arry and Rosalind Rochkind of
Huntington Woods are pleased to
announce the engagement of their
son David to Katrina Reichwein, daughter
of Tim and Judy Reichwein of Richmond,
Texas.
David received his B.A. in sociology from
the University of Michigan and is a photo-
journalist, working in Mexico City, Mexico.
Katrina received her B.A. in political sci-
ence from Rice University and works for the
United States Department of State, currently
posted in Guadalajara, Mexico.
A May 2011 wedding is planned in Spring,
Texas. In the fall of 2011, the couple will
reside in Washington, D.C., for several months before relocating to Port-au-
Prince, Haiti.
