T he Cancer Thrivers Network for Jewish Women will gather for yoga at the Jewish Community Center in Oak Park 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, for a gentle healing yoga practice with Susie Rosenfeld. Rosenfeld is a breast cancer survivor who has taught yoga for 41 years and is a founding mem- ber of the Yoga Association of Susie Greater Detroit. Rosenfeld Her practice is focused on mindful meditation. This will be her third yoga session with the Thrivers. The mission of the Cancer Thrivers Network for Jewish Women, a JCC program, is to enrich and empower women through activities such as yoga and others that encourage living the best life possible through friendship and positive experiences. The network welcomes women who have been diagnosed with any kind of cancer at any time in their lives. Cost for the session is $5, pay- able at the door. Dessert and coffee will follow the yoga ses- sion. Participants should wear comfortable clothing.
