Party Planning Expo
The Jewish Community Center of Greater
Ann Arbor will hold its first Party Planning
Expo on Sunday, Jan. 30, from 2 to 5 p.m., at
the JCC. The free expo will cater to families
having bar/bat mitzvahs, weddings, etc.
Carolynn Hayman, is one of the event's
organizers. Staci Kennedy, owner of Who's
Got the Time event planning business, is
chairing the event.

Jewish Languages Series
"The Languages of Jewish Life" is a six-
week series that will explore the role of
language in Jewish history and culture.
It will be presented Jan. 30-March 16, at
various venues in Metro Detroit.
The series will feature speakers from
throughout the U.S. and Israel; a number
of the events are free. Tickets for the entire
series are $25 each, or $10 for Jewish com-
munal professionals and educators. Tickets
for individual lectures also are available. For
