Jakob is a student at Sarah Banks
Middle School in Walled Lake. He
felt his most meaningful mitzvah
project was volunteer work at Yad
Ezra in Berkley.

at the Birmingham
Temple in
Farmington Hills.
She is the daughter

Julia is in the eighth grade
at Detroit Country Day School
in Beverly Hills. As part of her
mitzvah project, she volunteers
at the Friendship Circle in West
Bloomfield.

is the great-granddaughter of Jean
Frincke of Southfield and is named
in loving memory of her maternal
great-grandmother Sylvia Miller and
paternal great-grandmother Amalia
Weiss.

Sharing in the simchah will be his
proud grandparents Esther and
Sam Tolchin and Sylvia and George
Lewis.
Joshua attends East Middle School
in Farmington Hills. His most mean-
ingful mitzvah project was helping
kids and young adults play soccer as
part of the TOPS program.

Noah Adam Nathan
will be called to
the Torah as a bar
mitzvah on Friday,
Jan. 14, at Temple
Shir Shalom in
West Bloomfield. He
is the son of Lauren
Nathan
and Michael Nathan
and the brother of
Sammy Nathan. Noah's proud grand-
parents are Sandy and Ben Nathan.
He is also the grandson of the late
Muriel and the late Sam Rudack.
Noah is a seventh-grade student
at West Hills Middle School in West
Bloomfield. He is working on Toys
for Tots as his most meaningful
mitzvah project.

Mackenzie Fox
Newman will be
called to the Torah
as a bat mitzvah at
Congregation Beth
Shalom in Oak Park
on Saturday, Jan. 15.
She is the daugh-
ter of Marc and
Francine Newman
and sister of Marlee. Celebrating
on this occasion will be her proud
grandparents Michael and Barbara
Fox, Sy and Cookie Newman, and
Lorraine and Robert Zack.
Mackenzie is a seventh-grade stu-
dent at Norup International School.
For the past several months, she
has had the privilege of working at
Friendship Circle in West Bloomfield
for her mitzvah project.
