Survivors
To Discuss
Convention
At noon Saturday,
Jan. 15, follow-
ing morning
Rene
Shabbat
services,
Lichtman
Congregation
Beth Ahm will
present an informal panel discus-
sion featuring five shul members
who attended the international
conference of the World Federation
of Jewish Child Survivors of the
Holocaust Nov. 5-8 in Skokie, Ill.
The community is invited. No
reservations are required.
Rene Lichtman, a "hidden child"
in France during the Holocaust, will
facilitate the panel, which will also
include Cathy Lichtman, George and
Judy Vine, and Suzanne Sondheimer
(representing the second genera-
tion).
They attended emotional work-
shops and lectures, reconnected
with friends, and made new friends
through the network of Holocaust
survivors.
A key issue for the conference
was how are survivors dealing today
with their childhood experiences?
Beth Ahm is located at 5075 W.
Maple in West Bloomfield. For infor-
mation, call Rene Lichtman (248)
932-1834 or e-mail holocaustchild@
