She is survived by her devoted hus-
band of 68 years, Morton "Mortie"
Oppenheim; daughters, Regina (Irving)
Richards, Patti (Glenn) Podnar; and son,
Gary (Sharon) Oppenheim; grandchil-
dren, Eli (Monica) Richards and Zachary
and Sarah Oppenheim; great-grandchil-
dren, Cole Ulloa and Chloe Richards and
many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Cookie was the cherished grandmoth-
er of the late Dovid Richards and sister
of the late Gertrude Harwin, Evelyn
Sipher, Sidney Maxman and Henrietta
Appleton.
During her many years in the Detroit
area, she was active with the Jewish War
Veterans and the National Council of
Jewish Women.
