the Torah as a bat
mitzvah on Saturday,
Dec. 18, at Adat
Shalom Synagogue
in Farmington Hills.
Halpern
She is the daughter
of Tami and Yale
Halpern. Her proud grandparents
are Marilyn and Louis Gutter. Jordan
is also the granddaughter of the late
Esther and the late Leon Halpern.
Jordan attends Hillel Day School of
Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington
Hills. She felt that her most meaning-
ful mitzvah project was participating
in the Dor nor project and working
closely with seniors.

the grandchild of the late Bernice and

Middle School in Farmington Hills.
She felt playing violin and serv-
ing food to residents at Fleischman
Residence in West Bloomfield was a
meaningful mitzvah experience.

mitzvah Saturday,
Dec. 11, at Temple
Israel in West
Silverman
Bloomfield. Her
grandparents are
Shayna and Morris Silverman and
Phyllis Gromacki.
Mikelanne attends Derby Middle
School in Birmingham. She felt help-
ing children who are underprivileged
through the LINKS program at her
school was a very meaningful mitzvah
project.

Evan Smith

Brett Gordon Smith and Evan
Gordon Smith shared the bimah
as they became b'nai mitzvah at
Temple Israel in West Bloomfield,
Saturday, Dec. 11, during Havdalah
services. They are the sons of Susan
and Bruce Smith and the brothers of
Jacob. Their proud grandparents are
Sylvia and Dr. Marvin Gordon. They
are also the grandsons of the late
Bill Smith.
Brett and Evan attend Frost
Middle School in Livonia. Brett
chose as his most meaningful
mitzvah project to donate funds
he earned to Reading Tree-Books
for Charity, while Evan felt donat-
ing funds to the Make-A-Wish
Foundation was a significant mitz-
vah project.

Tyler Evan
Weberman led
the congrega-
tion in prayer
as he celebrated
his bar mitzvah
Saturday, Dec. 11,
at Temple Israel
in West Bloomfield.
He is the son of
Dr. Elaine Gantz-Weberman and
Steve Weberman and the brother
of Zachary and Matthew. Sharing
in the simchah were proud grand-
parents Frances Gantz, Sima and
Abraham Weberman. He is also
the grandchild of the late Leah
Weberman and the late Joseph
Gantz.
Tyler is a student at Orchard Lake
Middle School in West Bloomfield.
He participated in a can and blan-
ket drive for the Michigan Humane
Society and felt this was a very
meaningful mitzvah project.
