Beth Shalom To House
Homeless At Christmas

Congregation Beth Shalom in Oak
Park will house clients from South
Oakland Shelter (S.O.S.) during
Christmas week.
Because Christmas falls on
Shabbat, the synagogue's Social
Action Committee had to be creative
in providing a way for the S.O.S.
guests to celebrate their holiday while
maintaining Shabbat observance.
There will be a Kabbalat Shabbat
service followed by dinner with S.O.S.
guests at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 24. On
Saturday, after morning services,
S.O.S. guests will join congregants for
lunch.
RSVP for the Friday dinner by Dec.
21: (248) 547-7970. Adults: $15; chil-
dren $8; age 3 and under are free.

Apartment homes that simplify life.
Neighbors who enrich it.

For Al and Evelyn, really living means pursuing their passion for the
theater, not letting financial worries steal the show. Their beautiful
apartment home is completely free from maintenance. So instead
of budgeting for the next costly repair or sky-high utility bill, the
Jacobs enjoy stable, predictable expenses and a worry-free way of
life. Thanks to Erickson Living?Al and Evelyn leave the drama on
stage—exactly where it belongs.
