a fundraiser for the
Ministrelli Women's Heart
Center, Beaumont Hospital, Royal
Oak, featured a luncheon and
fashion presentation on Nov. 11 at
Saks Fifth Avenue and Brio Tuscan
Grille, Somerset Collection, Troy.
Proceeds provide services to
uninsured and underinsured
women. Heart disease claims the
lives of 500,000 American women
each year.
Event committee chairs were
Harriet Fuller and Lois Shaevsky,
both of Bloomfield Hills, and
Marion Ginopolis of West
Bloomfield. Honorary chair Florine
Ministrelli is from West Bloomfield.
Beaumont's Ministrelli Women's
Heart Center is the first center in
Michigan devoted exclusively to the
prevention, diagnosis and research
of heart disease in women. The
center was created in 2002 through
a donation from the Ministrellis. ri
