also trains in the small gym tucked
into the West Bloomfield space with
R3's operations manager Arlene
Schreiber, a Franklin Village wife
and mom.
"We work to make it "a destination
place not just a place to work out,"
Schreiber says. "Everyone who comes
in the door gets greeted. It's family."
Nicole Ferszt, 20, is part of the
extended R3 family, driving in from
Ann Arbor where she is a pre-med
student majoring in kinesiology at
the University of Michigan!' I come

While she was home over the
summer Ferszt, a Bloomfield Hills
native, took classes every day often
perched on a bike beside her moth-
er, Patty. "I lost 20 pounds. My pants
don't fit anymore Nicole says.
"It's such a dynamic exercise — it
gets your cardio going but its also
strengthening:' she adds. "The own-
ers have totally made it (R3) their
own."
