20, at Temple Israel
in West Bloomfield.

will be her sister Rachel
and brother Noah and proud grandpar-
ents Fay and Paul Rosen and Jane and
Michael Harvey.
Gabby attends O.E. Dunckel Middle
School in Farmington Hills. Among her
various mitzvah projects, she felt prepar-
ing and serving dinner at the Ronald
McDonald House in Detroit was the
most meaningful.

Jack Joseph Israel will
celebrate his bar mitzvah
as he is called to the
bimah Saturday, Nov.
20, at Temple Israel in
West Bloomfield. He is
the son of Lisa Pernick
and Bruce Israel. His
Israel
brothers are Blake and
Evan and his proud
grandmothers are Elizabeth Pernick and
Harriet Israel. He is also the grandson
of the late Judge Joseph Pernick and the
late Sid Israel.
Jack is a student at Cranbrook in
Bloomfield Hills. His mitzvah projects
have included organizing a fundraiser
for an animal rescue shelter.

will celebrate her bat
mitzvah Saturday, Nov.

20, at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield.
Her proud grandparents are Beryl
Goldfield and Faye and Dick Sidder.
Hannah is a student at Bloomfield
Hills Middle School. She felt her most
meaningful mitzvah project was helping
to feed the homeless at Grace Centers of
Hope.

David Aaron Siegel
was called to the Torah
as a bar mitzvah on
Saturday, Nov. 13, at
Congregation Beth
Shalom in Oak Park.
He is the son of Vicky
and the late Eric Siegel,
Siegel
the brother of Lauren,
Rochelle, Michelle and
Alexis and grandson of Mary and the
late Norbert Rounke and Jacqueline
and the late Carl Siegel.
David is an eighth-grade student
at Baker Middle School in Troy. Each
year, he participates in feeding the
homeless at the holiday season at
Mario's restaurant in Detroit.

Steven Andrew Yellen,
son of Cindy Yellen and
the late Jeffrey Yellen,
will be called to the
Torah as a bar mitzvah
on Friday, Nov. 19, at
Temple Israel in West
Bloomfield. He is the
Yellen
brother of Lauren, Erika
and Daniel. Sharing in
the simchah will be his proud grand-
mother Lenore Yellen. He is also the
grandchild of the late Seymour Yellen,
the late Marianne Pierce and the late
John Pierce.
Steven is a student at O.E. Dunckel
Middle School in Farmington Hills. His
most meaningful mitzvah project was
volunteering at Yad Ezra in Berkley.

King-Badash

onna and Ken King of Phoenix,
Ariz., formerly of West Bloomfield,
are thrilled to announce the
engagement of their daughter Robyn
Jennifer to Avichai, son of Batsheva and
Joseph Badash of Brooklyn, N.Y.
Robyn and Avi reside in New York. Robyn
is the granddaughter of Paula Posen and the
late Maurice Posen, Marcia King and the late
Isadore "Izzy" King.
A May 2011 wedding date has been set at
Adat Shalom Synagogue in Farmington Hills.

Jahnke-Gildenberg

lyse Gildenberg and Ryan Jahnke
were recently married at the Royal
Park Hotel in Rochester. Rabbi Paul
Yedwab and Cantor Neil Michaels of Temple
Israel officiated.
Elyse is the daughter of Arlene and Alan
Gildenberg of West Bloomfield. Ryan is the
son of Betta Singer of West Bloomfield and
Wendy and Keith Jahnke of Orchard Lake.
The maid of honor was sister of the bride,
Jamie Gildenberg. Bridesmaids were Michelle
Hersh, Lindsey Grossman, Jamie David,
Deanna Ned and Lauren Franklin. Junior
bridesmaid was Elyse's cousin Jodi Backalar.
The best man was Adam Jahnke, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were
brother of the bride Eric Gildenberg, Zack Lipson, Sam Grossman, Eric Frehsee
and Brett Mellin. Junior groomsmen were Ryan's brothers, Kass and Kullen
Jahnke.
The flower girl and ring bearer were Brooke Ratliff and Max Mocio, cousins of
the bride and groom.
They were thrilled to have the blessing of grandparents Jack Backalar, David
Gildenberg, Pearl and Jerry Singer and Marge Jahnke.
Elyse and Ryan celebrated a romantic honeymoon in the south of France and
currently live in Farmington.

(preferably color) can appear at a cost of $18 each. Births are $10.
There is no charge for bar/bat mitzvahs or for special birthdays starting
at the 90th.

Klemm were recently married
at Temple Beth El in Bloomfield
Township. Rabbinic associate Keren Alpert
officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Judy
Post of West Bloomfield and the late Dr.
Robert Wachlarz. She is the stepdaughter of
Ken Post.
The groom is the son of Mrs. Joanna
Harris of Rapid City, Mich., and the late
William Klemm.
The couple are planning a honeymoon to
the Caribbean in February.
