DAVID Z. SCHONBERGER, 22, died
Saturday afternoon, Oct. 30, 2010, when his
big heart unexpectedly stopped while visit-
ing his grandparents in Toronto, Canada.
David was born on Dec. 11, 1987, in
Tegucigalpa, Honduras. He was transferred
to the care of his loving foster family from
the state-run orphanage at 3 months of age.
His parents immediately saw in him a car-
ing and sensitive soul, and made three trips
to Honduras before finally bringing him
home. He lived the first 9 years of his life in
Bangor, Maine, and annually returned there
to the family cottage on Moulton Pond. In
1997 the family moved to Youngstown, Ohio.
David loved cars, planes and comput-
ers but he was most passionate about
his family and his faith. Nothing made
him happier than spending time with his
brother Samuel and sister Eliana, helping
his grandparents and hanging out with his
aunts, uncles and cousins and vacationing
with his dearest family friends.
David leaves behind his parents, Rabbi
Joseph and Susan Weiss Schonberger;
brother Samuel; sister Eliana; grandpar-
ents Dez "Saba" and Margaret "Savta"
Schonberger of Toronto; grandmother

Elizabeth "Grandma" Weiss of Southfield;
many aunts, undes, cousins and close
friends.
He was predeceased by his grandfather
Sandor "Papa" Weiss.
David's funeral was held at Temple El
Emeth in Youngstown with interment at the
Anshei Emeth Granada Cemetery.
Donations in David's memory may be
made to Temple El Emeth or to Akiva
Academy of Youngstown, the two places
where he always felt secure and loved.
May his loving soul be at peace in God's
embrace. May his memory and spirit
always be with us for blessing and motivate
us for mitzvah. We will sorely miss our
beautiful brown-eyed boy.

VIVIAN STOLLMAN, 80, of Southfield,
died Nov. 6, 2010.
She was born in Rumania and moved to
the United States after World War II in 1947.
Her mother was Marguerite Kozenn Chajes
and her father was David Kozenn. During
her lifetime, she taught Sunday school and
piano. She was active in Hadassah, AIPAC,
Jewish Family Service and Yad Ezra. She
brought music programs to Fleischman
