Rabbi Jeff Ney, rabbinic dean of the
Southfield-based school, officiated at the
ceremony and explained that Rivka's best
attribute was her kindness.
The chatan (groom), Avi Selesny, 5,
of Southfield, and kallah (bride), Golda
Rappoport, 5, of West Bloomfield, were cho-
sen by lottery. The parents of the bride and
groom also had special duties during the

wedding ceremony.
The Early Childhood and elementary
classes as well as invited guests danced to
music, ate yummy food and made necklaces
as a reminder of the gift of jewelry given
to Rivka by Eliezer, who was the servant of
Yitzchak's father, Avraham.
