Max Ernst never went to medical school, but he just might save your life. He simply wanted to honor his late wife, Ellen. To establish a legacy that would keep her memory alive. Max Ernst found that legacy at Beaumont. The hospital has an innovative program designed to prevent sudden cardiac deaths in adults and young athletes. With his donation, Beaumont will more than double the number of people who can be screened each year at our new Ernst Cardiovascular Center. "What excites me most is helping people before they have a heart attack," said Mr. Ernst. "And in years to come, when we look back on all the lives that have been saved in this center, the results will be even more exciting." All of us at Beaumont thank the Ernst family for their generous gift - and for the lives their gift will save. Beaumont Hospitals Max and Debra Ernst and Family provided the impetus to establish the Ernst Cardiovascular Center at Beaumont. They believe that even if only one life can be saved, it will all be worth it. October 14 2010 7
