Gabrielle Nomi
Lowenthal, daughter
of Kathy Lowenthal
and Jeff Lowenthal,
will read from the
Torah as she cel-
ebrates her bat mitz-
vah Saturday, Oct.
Lowenthal
16, at Temple Israel
in West Bloomfield.
She is the sister of Josh, Julie and
Erika. She is the grandchild of Sheila
Rissman, the late Geri and the late
Burt Rissman, and the late Elaine
Lowenthal. Her late great-grandpar-
ents are Ann and Harry Korman.
Gabrielle is a student at Hillel Day
School of Metropolitan Detroit in
Farmington Hills. Among her vari-
ous mitzvah projects, she felt being
involved with JARC was the most
meaningful.

Harrison Michael
Milen will celebrate
his bar mitzvah
Saturday, Oct. 16,
at Temple Israel
in West Bloomfield
during Havdalah ser-
vices. His parents are
Milen
Stacey and Lawrence
Milen. Sharing in the
joy will be his grandparents Francine
and Joel Piell and Judi Mayer. He is
also the grandchild of the late Michael
Milen. His great-grandmothers are
Sally Piell and Mildred Lewis.
Harrison attends O.E. Dunckel
Middle School in Farmington Hills.
He felt his participation in the Miracle
League was the most meaningful of
his mitzvah projects.

called to the bimah
as he celebrates
his bar mitzvah at
Temple Israel in
West Bloomfield on
Friday, Oct. 15. He is
Safian
the son of Maureen
and Rob Safian and
the brother of Ryan,
Luke, and Sierra. His proud grandpar-
ents are Sheila and Andrew Grinvalsky.
He is also the grandson of the late Dee
and the late Ted Safian and the late
Ruth Safian.
Noah is a student at Cranbrook
Middle School in Bloomfield Hills.
His most meaningful mitzvah project
was raising awareness and funds for
Crohn's Colitis Foundation of America.

ody and Richard Grossman of West
Bloomfield and Mary and Norman
Geller of Glencoe, Ill., are thrilled to
announce the engagement of their children
Rachel Lauren Grossman and Michael Jacob
Geller.
Rachel and Michael graduated from the
University of Pennsylvania. Rachel earned a
bachelor of science in economics from the
Wharton School. She works as an associate
at Insight Venture Partners, a private equity
and venture capital firm.
Michael earned a bachelor of arts in eco-
nomics. He works as a financial analyst at
GEM Realty Capital Inc., a real estate investment company in Chicago.
The family is looking forward to a January wedding in Michigan.
