died Oct. 1, 2010.
She is survived by her son, Harold

West Bloomfield; grandchildren, Tracy
(Gary) Naftaly, Lorey (Steven) Zlotnick,
Marcy (Dr. Alan) Newman, Stacey (Joe)
Lash, Lisa (Jason) Cooper; great-grand-
children, Jessica, Ashley, Asher, Jonah,
Brendan, Courtney, Cara, Jordyn, Drew
and Ian. She is also survived and will be
missed by her loving and devoted care-
givers, Diedre, Yvonne and Mona.
Mrs. Cohen was the beloved wife for
52 years of the late Sam Cohen; sister
of the late Harry (the late Katy) Bruner,
the late Fanny (the late Sam) Clarfelt,
the late Bertha (the late David) Josef, the
late Tillie (the late John) Tam; she was
also the loving mother-in-law to the late
Carol Cohen.
Interment at the Beth El Memorial
Park Cemetery in Livonia. Contributions

He was a high school

She is survived by her brother and
sister-in-law, Elliott Faxstein and Christy

Southfield; loving nieces, nephews and
extended family and friends.
Ms. Faxstein was the loving daughter
of the late Manuel and the late Clara
Faxstein.

DANIEL FINN, 91, of Rockville, Md.,
died Oct. 10, 2010.
He is survived by his beloved wife,

MILTON FIRESTONE, of Okemos, died
Oct. 1, 2010.
He served with distinction as a
Michigan Assistant Attorney General for
more than 32 years. As a division head,
he oversaw many areas including social
services, health, military affairs and
municipal affairs and finance. During
his career, he appeared in 50 cases before
the Michigan Supreme Court, Court of
Appeals, and the Sixth Circuit U.S. Court

Mr. Firestone taught municipal finance
law at the Thomas M. Cooley Law School
and previously was assistant city attor-
ney for Livonia.
Although he struggled with multiple
sclerosis from age 60, he never let it
define him. Each time his MS added a
new complication, he rose to overcome it.
He was born in Detroit in 1927,
the son of Edna (Strom) and Joseph
Firestone. He served in the U.S. Army in
World War II and earned his juris doctor
from Wayne State University. He was a
board member of the Michigan Chapter
of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society
and chairperson of its government rela-
tions group.
Mr. Firestone is survived by his wife
of 57 years, Renee Levy Firestone; son,
Joseph (Liliana Ciccodicola) Firestone;
daughter, Karen (Chuck) Rossen; grand-
daughters, Leah, Eliza, and Cici. He also
leaves his friend and brother, Harold
(Gloria) Firestone, along with lov-
ing nieces and nephews, cousins, and
friends.
He was preceded in death by a son,
Lawrence, and his sister, Edith Snider.
The service was held at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek, with Rabbi Amy Bigman
officiating. Interment was in Evergreen
Cemetery. Arrangements by Estes-
Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.
