He was a man-
who earned his
bachelor's and MBA
from Harvard. He
was also a lieuten-
ant commander in
the U.S. Navy during World War II
and an accomplished pianist.

DR. ARNOLD LESHMAN, 75, of
West Bloomfield, died Sept. 23, 2010.
He was a dedicated surgeon, who
was always surrounded with fam-
ily and friends including the love of
his life, Sandra. Sandra and Arnold
renewed their vows last year to cel-
ebrate 50 years of marriage.
He loved the simple things in life:
spending time with his children and
grandchildren, playing golf, reading,
watching sporting events and travel,
including spending time at his home
Dr. Leshman's accomplishments
were numerous. While serving as a
physician in Vietnam, he was sta-
tioned at a M.A.S.H. unit and was
awarded the Bronze Star. He was
selected as Outstanding Intern at
Sinai Hospital during 1962-1963
and was chief surgical resident from
1967-1968. Dr. Leshman opened and
directed one of the first independent
mammography centers in the early
1990s and continued operations
