She will tell how to maintain one's finances. The lecture will be at the Karmanos Cancer Center, 31995 Northwestern Highway, Farmington Hills (also known as the Weisberg center). • Wednesday, Oct. 13, 6-7:30 p.m. — Dr. Leigh Solomon will discuss "The Latest Advances in Ovarian Cancer Treatment,' also at the Farmington Hills location. • Tuesday, Oct. 19, 6-7:30 p.m. — Rhonda Terry will demonstrate reiki, a Japanese stress-relieving technique that can boost the spirits of those ailing. Her talk will be at the American Cancer Society, 20450 Civic Center Drive in Southfield. Survivorship University's found- ing dean was Pat Milner Sachs, a cancer educator at the Detroit- based Karmanos Cancer Institute who died of melanoma in 2006.
