he Jewish Federation
of Metropolitan Detroit
is planning its fourth
Community Taglit-Birthright Israel
Trip this winter. Trip dates are Dec.
26-Jan. 4.
The December trip is free and
is open to 40 young Jewish adults,
ages 22-26, who are residents of
Metro Detroit and who have not
previously participated on an orga-
nized peer trip to Israel.

trip is now open. To sign up,

and be sure to select the Detroit
Community Trip. Spaces are limited
so sign up today. A $250 refund-
able deposit is required at time of
registration. All selected applicants
will be required to participate in an
interview process.
The Detroit Federation
Community Taglit-Birthright Trip
offers participants a chance to dis-
cover our Partnership 2000 Region
in the Central Galilee.
Participants will visit the area
and will travel with eight Israeli
young adults from the region for
the entire length of the trip. The
community trip model is meant
to build a more engaged Detroit
Jewish community as our par-
ticipants get to meet other young
adults who live in their area and
create lasting relationships with
them.
The Detroit Federation's
Community Taglit-Birthright Israel
Trip is chaired by Steven Goodman
and is in partnership with Hillel
of Metro Detroit, CommunityNext,
the Michigan-Central Galilee
Partnership 2000 Program and
Israel Outdoors.
Since its inception, the Jewish
Federation of Metropolitan Detroit
has made an annual allocation to
Taglit-Birthright Israel with addi-
tional support from local donors,
helping hundreds of thousands of
young Jewish people travel to Israel
for a truly special and meaningful
experience.
