their daughter Laura Elizabeth
to Andrew Cornell, son of Kathy and John
Golaszewski, all of Farmington Hills.
Laura received an undergraduate degree
from the University of Michigan and is
a doctoral candidate in neuroscience at
Georgia State University.
Andrew also completed his undergraduate
degree at the University of Michigan and is
working toward his master's degree in the
human-computer interaction program at
Georgia Institute of Technology.
The couple is looking forward to a spring wedding in Decatur, Ga., where they
reside.

ebrated her 90th birthday sur-
rounded by her family at a party
at Congregation Beth Shalom, Oak Park.
Joining her for her special simchah were
her children, grandchildren, great-grand-
children, friends, extended family and her
100-year-old sister, Pearl. Born in Hungary,
Mrs. Weiss came to the U.S. with her hus-
band and children in the early 1950s. She
takes great pride in being the official family
caterer of homemade Hungarian delicacies.
She continues to enjoy the blessings of good
health, living independently in her own
home and volunteering weekly at Jewish Vocational Service.
