IN JEWISH CONTRIBUTIONS TO
WESTERN CIVILIZATION CALL FOR
APPLICATIONS AND NOMINATIONS

Assumption University, located in
Windsor, Ontario, is calling for nominations
and applications for a Chairholder to occupy
the prestigious Assumption University Chair
in Jewish Contributions to Western Cultures.
This Chair is one of several operating under
the aegis of Assumption University's Centre
for Religion and Culture. The Chairholder will
be required to give two (2) public
week-end series of lectures each semester
for a total of four (4) each year as well as
make a presentation at an annual dinner in
order to showcase the Chair. Additionally,
the Chairholder will be required to engage in
Research and Publication in the area covered
by the terms of reference of the Chair. Finally
and importantly, the Chairholder will be
required to engage in community network-
ing and interfaith dialogue aimed at making
the activities of The Chair known to local and
national communities.

A minimum stipend of thirty-thousand dollars
($30,000) Canadian will be paid annually and
may be allocated to salary and/or travel
and/or research and related needs. The
specific allocations are negotiable and will be
tailored to meet the needs of the Chairholder.
The Chairholder need not take up residence
at Assumption University.

Candidates should submit a complete
curriculum vitae; a record of teaching
experience; three samples of scholarly work;
and the names, along with e-mail or regu-
lar mail addresses, of three references that
the appointments committee may contact.
Short- listed candidates may be asked to
provide additional information.
