son of Andrew and
Janet Kaufman and the grandson of
Dr. Harold and Kay Levin of St. Louis
and the late Irving and the late Berta
Kaufman.
He attends Abbott Middle School in
West Bloomfield. Noah volunteered at
the local Cystic Fibrosis office and at
CF events in the area for his mitzvah
project.

on Saturday, Aug. 14. Sharing in this
special occasion will be his maternal
grandmother Barbara Keidan and
his paternal grandmother Sara Lee
Segel. He is also the grandson of the
late Louis Segel and the late Herbert
Keidan.
Ari will enter the eighth grade at
Dunckel Middle School in Farmington
Hills in the fall. One of his community
service deeds was playing the tenor
sax in the Kids Klez Band.

announce the engagement of their
son Scott Howard Liberman to Katherine
Elizabeth Moberg, daughter of Jim and
Elizabeth Moberg of Escanaba, Mich.
Scott is the grandson of Belle Liberman,
the late Sidney Liberman and the late Muriel
and the late George Tarnoff.
Scott is a 2000 graduate of West
Bloomfield High School and received his
B.S. degree in 2005 from Michigan State
University in biosystems engineering, spe-
cializing in biomedical engineering. He
earned his J.D. from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in May 2008
and is a patent attorney in Evanston, Ill.
Katherine is a 2000 graduate of Newtown High School in Newtown, Conn.,
and received her B.S. degree in packaging in 2004 from Michigan State
University. She is a packaging engineer with Silgan Containers.
The wedding is planned for Sept. 5 in Escanaba.
