Akiva is a modern Orthodox
nursery-through-12th-grade day
school committed to a Jewish and
general studies education in a set-
ting of Torah values.

Roosevelt Group Slate
The Roosevelt Group of Greater
Detroit Chapter of Hadassah
recently held its installation.
The new board includes Suzanne
Boschan and E Linda Cohen,
presidents. Vice presidents are com-
munity service, Cindy Starman
and Robin Terebelo; education,
Jacqueline Cohen and Sharon
Goldenberg; fundraising, Mandy
Garver and Fran Heicklen; mem-
bership, Evelyn Freeman and Judith
Goodman; programming, Sonja
Kass and Barbara Lewis. Also,
member at large Eva Lande, record-
ing secretary Ilene Schwartz, trea-
surer, Marjorie Stern, communica-
tions and marketing coordinator
