Ferndale. Arrangements by Hebrew
Memorial Chapel.

BERNICE
BARILL, 77, of
West Bloomfield,
died July 28, 2010.
She is survived
by her daughters
and son-in-
law, Gayle and
Barill
Robert Lisiecke
of Bloomfield
Hills, Cheryl Barill Gluski of West
Bloomfield; sisters and brothers-
in-law, Ida and Mayer Drasnin of
Farmington Hills, Sally and Harold
Ure of Phoenix, Ariz.; sister-in-
law, Doris Gottlieb; grandchildren,
Matthew, Jeffrey, Jacob, Rachel;
many loving family members and
friends.
Mrs. Barill was the beloved wife
of the late Irving H. Barill; sister-in-
law of the late Sheila Barill.
Interment at the Clover Hill
Park Cemetery in Birmingham.
Contribution may be made to the
Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer
Institute or a charity of one's
choice. Arrangements by Dorfman
Chapel.

RICHARD BRAUN, 87 of
Asheville, N.C., died July 26, 2010, at
his home. A native of Germany, he
was son of the late Paul Braun and
the late Lucy Kantrowicz Braun.
Mr. Braun was an engineer, avid
potter and supporter of the arts. He
was a member of Temple Emanu-El
in Oak Park and Congregation Beth
HaTephila in Asheville.
He is survived by his wife, Irene
Braun; a son, Russell Braun and
his wife, Nancy, of Truro, Mass.;
a daughter, Janis Braun-Levine
and her husband, Fred Levine, of
Farmington Hills; three grandchil-
dren, Natanya Braun, Lisa Braun
and Scott Levine.
A service was held at
Congregation Beth HaTephila in
Asheville. Rabbi Batsheva H. Meiri
officiated. Interment followed at
Riverside Cemetery, Asheville.
Contributions may be made to
the Maimonides Fund at Cong.
