Shavuot Study
Adat Shalom Synagogue's Tikkun Leil
Shavuot in Farmington Hills will take
place Tuesday night, May 18. The eve-
ning will begin at 8 p.m. with festival
services, followed by a light supper.
Study begins at 9 p.m. At 11, par-
ticipants are invited to "have a slice of
cheesecake." The final class will run
from 11:15 pm. to midnight.
All adults and teens are welcome.
First day services will be held at 9
a.m. on Wednesday, May 19. Yizkor
prayers will be recited at services on
Thursday morning, May 20.

Confirmands Honored
Adat Shalom Synagogue in
Farmington Hills honors its 2010
Confirmation Class on Friday eve-
ning, May 14. The confirmands will
participate in Kabbalat Shabbat ser-
vices at 6 p.m. Dinner will follow.
To be confirmed are: Cameron
Blum, Alexander Cho cron, Ashley
Fixler, Ali Gornbein, Amanda
Guttman, Bennett Magy, Joshua
Morof, Heather Rosenbaum,
Jonathan Schiff, Lexie Sittsamer,
Nathaniel Strauss, Ari Weil, liana
Woronoff and Callie Wright.
The confirmation program is
endowed by the Knopper Family in
memory of Judith Lowe Knopper.
Adat Shalom high school
graduates were recognized at the
Conservative Community ATID
graduation on May 10. The 2010
Adat Shalom graduates are: Max
Hirschhorn, Haley Jacobs, Rebecca
Klegon, Aaron Klisman, Hannah
Kowalsky, Molly Lester, Max Olender,
Pamela Pensler and Marisa Seltzer.
