PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that, on Monday, May 17, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. in the
Township Hall of the Charter Township of West Bloomfield, 4550 Walnut Lake
Road, West Bloomfield, Michigan, the Township Board shall meet for the
purpose of hearing comments and objections regarding the proposed Potomac
Towne Road Improvement Project, including on the petitions submitted, the
cost of the project, and the proposed Special Assessment District No. 141.
The proposed Project is road repaving and related improvements to Potomac
Run, Potomac Run North, Potomac Run South and Potomac Road East, which
are private roads in the Township, with an estimated cost of $693,854.64, to
benefit 284 privately owned and used condominium unit parcels of land in
the tentatively designated special assessment district against which the cost
of the improvement would be assessed, with those parcels described as all
units in the Potomac Towne I (78 units), Potomac Towne II (127 units), Potomac
Towne III (28 units), Potomac Towne IV (24 units), and Potomac Towne V (27
units) Condominium Subdivisions.
A copy of the petitions, and the plans and cost estimate are on file with the
Township Clerk and at the Township Development Services Department, 4550
Walnut Lake Road, West Bloomfield, Michigan, for public examination during
normal business hours.
Appearance and protest at the hearing is required in order to appeal the
matters to be considered at the hearing to the State Tax Tribunal. An owner
or party in interest, or his or her agent, may appear in person at the hearing
to protest the special assessment, or shall be permitted to file his or her
appearance or protest by letter and his or her personal appearance in such
case shall not be required.
