and sister-in-law, Phil and Esther Taylor;
friends. He is also survived by Cissy
Gordon's children, Michael and Shari
Scher, Lori and Loren Blum, Jackie and
John St. Assonoupolis, Steven and Beth
Schek and their children.
He was the beloved husband for 33
years of the late Saralee Gordon; loving
father of the late Larry Gordon.

BETTE KALICHMAN, 90, former
Detroiter of Chicago, died April 23, 2010.
She was the wife of Nathan Kalichman
for 60 years. Mother of Miriam (Charles
Firke) and Karen (Barbara Reed).
Grandmother of Samuel (Shoshannah
Lenski) and Frank Firke. Sister of Gerson
(Beverley) Geltner. Step-grandmother of
Suzanne Reed (Jose Muenala) and Anne
(Carlos) Lopez. Step-great-grandmother
of Maya, Isu, and Savera Muenala-Reed.
She was the daughter of the late Rose
and the late Sam Geltner.
A memorial service was held

GUSSIE S. KROWITZ, 86, of Pembroke
Pines, Fla., died April 25, 2010.
She is survived by her stepdaughters,
Ellen and Alan Matlen of West Bloomfield,
Karen and Dr. Phil Cohen of West
Bloomfield; nieces and nephews, Larry
and Jill Sidman, Helene and Michael Rose;
great-nieces and great-nephews, Stuart,
Aaron, Rebecca, Philip.
Mrs. Krowitz was the beloved wife of the
late Harry Krowitz.
