Ruth was the personal shopper for Saks Fifth Avenue on Second Avenue near Grand Boulevard in Detroit and later worked at the store in Troy. She dressed elegantly with a sense of style that set her apart. Later, Ruth moved to Florida with her late husband, Irwin, with whom she had a long and loving relationship. A great golfer and tennis player, she had an active, busy life. Ruth was vivacious, spirited, graceful and fun. She is survived by her loving family, daughter, Janice Sobel; son and daughter- in-law, Larry and Helene Natinsky; grand- children, Jennifer and Andy Silber, Julie rrlyt and Ken Rochon, Barry and Eileen Sobel, Jeff and Marsha Sobel; great-grandchil- dren, Rachel and Noah Rochon, Morgan and Brooke Silber, Aaron and Giordana Sobel; nieces, nephews and cousins. HAROLD SAMLER, 77, former Detroiter of Anderson, S.C., died Dec. 8, 2009, after a long battle with cancer. Harold gradu- ated from Central High School in Detroit in Semler 1951. He was a member of Israel chapter of AZA. He attended Hillsdale College and Ohio State University in Columbus. He spent over 40 years in the meat business, ending his career with Bryan Division of Sara Lee. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Harriet; daughters, Lisa Samler, Amy (Mark) Horowitz; son, Harry (Stacey) Samler; brother, Marshall (Roberta) Samler; grandchildren, Rachel, Jenna, Zachery, Emelia; many close and loving friends and relatives.
