as a bat mitzvah on
Saturday, April 17,
at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek in
Southfield. She is
Tarnopol
the daughter of Drs.
Sharon Sandberg
and Marc Tarnopol and the sister of
Craig, Drew, and Liana. She is the
granddaughter of Arlene and Edwin
Tarnopol, and Dr. Hershel and Dorothy
Sandberg. She is also the granddaugh-
ter of the late Lois Sandberg.
Rebecca is a student at Hillel Day
School of Metropolitan Detroit in
Farmington Hills. Her favorite mitzvah
project was a can and bottle drive to
benefit Michigan Humane Society and
Golden Retriever Rescue of Michigan.

udrey Greenberg and Amiel Gross
were married April 18 at Ventana
Inn & Spa in Big Sur, Calif. Rabbi Eli
Cohen of Santa Cruz officiated.
Audrey is a chief financial officer and
principal at CB Richard Ellis Investors in
Los Angeles. She previously served on the
boards of two nonprofits, One Stop Senior
Services and Palladia Inc. She received her
M.B.A. from Wharton School at University of
Pennsylvania and her undergraduate degree
from University of Arizona where she majored
in accounting and finance. She is the daughter
of Drs. Joann and William Greenberg, both optometrists in West Bloomfield.
Amiel is an attorney at Sonnenschein, Nath and Rosenthal LLP. He received
his undergraduate degree from Southwestern University in Texas where he was
Phi Beta Kappa and all-American baseball player. He attended University of
Texas School of Law. He is the son of Katharine London Gross and Donald James
Gross, both artists in Austin, Texas.
The couple met on Indian Wells Beach in Amagansett, N.Y., on July Fourth
weekend, 2008. They continued to date, and Amiel moved to Manhattan that
winter. The couple soon got engaged and moved to Los Angeles.

Cooke 50th

ewis and Gloria Cooke celebrated
their 50th wedding anniversary at a
private, quiet dinner. Attending were
their son Charles and daughter-in-law Laurie
and grandchildren Justin and Kyle.
