The Scouts from Troops 364 and 33 served as honor guard and escorts to the survivors attending this meaning- ful and inspirational program. The ceremony is planned and organized by Susan Herman, executive director of the Lansing-based Michigan Jewish Conference, who represents Jewish communities from throughout the state on issues of importance being discussed in areas of our state govern- ment. Following the daylong ceremony, which features speakers and presenta- tions by state legislative and executive officials as well as a special candle lighting ceremony, the survivors and Scouts enjoyed lunch together at the Michigan State University Hillel before departing for home.
