and Jared Rothberger were
recently married at Temple Beth El in
Bloomfield Township. Rabbis Norman
Roman of Temple Kol Ami and Daniel Syme
officiated.
Lisa is the daughter of Ken Korotkin
of Bloomfield Hills and Julie Dale of West
Bloomfield. Jared is the son of Alan Rothberger
of Southfield and Risha Ring of Commerce Twp.
Attendants included the bride's sisters,
Andrea Belen (matron of honor) and
Emily Korotkin (maid of honor), Nikki
Schwartz, Laura Berg, Allison Korotkin, Amy
Rothberger, Heather Silecchia, Meg Stewart.
The bridesman was Steve Zisook and flower girl was Maya Belen.
Groomsmen included the best men, Tyler Howard and Josh Berg, as well
as Jeff Belen, Mike Canner, Adam Casini, Rob Krochmal, Mike Rothstein, Greg
Schwartz and Jason Shanker. Ushers were Rob Frankel, Bryan Lubaway, Mike
Sternberg and Josh Terebelo.
The couple met while both were employed by JARC. Lisa is the human resources
manager at JARC and Jared is a program associate for BBYO-Michigan Region.
For their honeymoon, they spent nine days in Venice, Florence and Rome, Italy, and
seven days in Key West, Fla. They have a beautiful new home in Bloomfield Hills.

Lax - Gordon

elissa and Larry Lax of
Bloomfield Hills proudly
announce the engagement of
their daughter Liza Harris Lax to Zachary
Isaac Eli Gordon, son of Bobbi and Rob
Gordon of Huntington Woods.
Liza and Zack both graduated from
Cranbrook and received their bachelor
of arts degrees from the University of
Michigan. Until 2008, Liza held various
positions with Theory LLC in New York and
Aspen. She now manages a student housing
complex in Ann Arbor.
Zack is completing his J.D. and M.B.A.
degrees at the University of Michigan. The past two summers, he has worked at
Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in Washington, D.C., and Chicago.
An August wedding is planned.

Bloomfield, married March
23, 1950, celebrated their
60th wedding anniversary with their
daughters on March 5-7 at the Palazzo
Hotel in Las Vegas, where they attended
the Winter Leadership Meeting of the
Republican Jewish Coalition. Their
anniversary celebration will continue in
Chicago, where their son, grandchildren
and son-in-law will join them at the
family's favorite restaurant, Gibsons.
