Warsaw Ghetto Memorial

The local Michigan Workmen's Circle/Arbeter
Ring has been commemorating the Warsaw
Ghetto Uprising for 67 years. Without fail,
the organization has remembered the heroes
of the Warsaw Ghetto and their courageous
battle in 1943.
The annual commemoration honors the
bravery of the Jews during the battle that
raged for 42 days beginning on Passover
in 1943. This year, Workmen's Circle will
mark this important occasion in collabora-
tion with the Holocaust Memorial Center in
Farmington Hills on April 19.
The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising commemora-
tion includes a candle-lighting ceremony,
music and readings. Holocaust survivors
often participate and the commemoration
also remembers the 6 million Jews who per-
ished at the hands of the Nazis.
The commemoration will be held at 7 p.m.
Monday, April 19, at the Holocaust Memorial
Center. RSVPs are appreciated: (248) 432-
5677 or micirclel@gmail.com .
