Feb. 25 for a Night of Glamorous
Giving sponsored by ORT America
Michigan Region. There were
cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, desserts,
hand massages, psychic readings
and prizes. Participants also learned
about some of the hottest makeup
trends for spring and were glammed
up by hair stylists from Figo Salon

in Birmingham. "ORT is celebrat-
ing its 130th anniversary this year,"
said Nicole Muchnick of West
Bloomfield, director of ORT America
Michigan Region. "We've always
stayed true to our mission to provide
education and training that enables
people to lead independent lives." The
event raised more than $17,000. A
portion of the proceeds will support
the Hermelin ORT Resource Center
in West Bloomfield, which provides
free computer training for unem-
ployed or underemployed Michigan
residents.
