BUY $25,

Volunteer Don Dizen of Royal Oak collects matzah dough from Addison

Fenster, 4, of West Bloomfield.

— all in 18 minutes from the time the
water hits the flour.
The process can be a little messy,
evidenced by flour on clothes and in
hair, but, in the end, participants bring
home a sample of matzah made by
their own hands and learn a bit more
about the holiday.
This year, three local Chabad rabbis
taught all who attended, which num-
bered about 3,000, including teachers
and family members.
The event has been around at least
20 years, long enough for parents to
remember coming as children.
Sponsors include the Bloom endow-
ment, Federation's Alliance for Jewish
Education, Shalom Street, the JCC and
Chabad.
