Detroit Public Television's audience
is made up of more than 1.5 million
viewers in 700,000 Detroit-area house-
holds each week. DPTV is available in
2.4 million homes throughout Canada
via cable and satellite. The station's
spring pledge festival runs through
March 27.

specializes in providing geriatric case

JWV Sports Night
The Joseph L. Bale Post #474 of
the Jewish War Veterans, is hav-
ing a Sports Night meeting 7 p.m.
Wednesday, April 21, at Temple Beth
El in Bloomfield Township.
Guests will be David Blatt, execu-
tive director of the Michigan Jewish
Sports Foundation, and previous
Hall of Fame honorees.

A short film will be shown that
tells about the accomplishments of
the Foundation.
The meeting is open to the public
at no charge.

a $10,000 Challenge Grant on March
15 during Detroit Public Television's
encore broadcast Detroit Remember
When: The Jewish Community.
Volunteers from ElderCare Solutions
of Michigan, a division of Jewish
Family Service of Metropolitan Detroit
where Sandy Danto serves as board
chair, came to the Detroit Public TV
studios in Wixom to answer pledge
phones and be interviewed during the
broadcast.
The Dantos matched up to $10,000
in pledges to Detroit Public Television
on March 15 when the nostalgic docu-
mentary, produced in association with
Sue Marx Films, was broadcast on
WTVS Channel 56.
As part of the Dantos' sponsorship,
ElderCare Solutions of Michigan will
benefit from other DPTV promotional
