Allison and Jack Grobbel; sister, Mildred
Kaplan of Tamarac, Fla.
She was the beloved mother of the late
Sue Ann Brennan; sister of the late Saul
Modell, the late Harry Modell and the late
Joan Kalt.

SAMUEL FREEDLAND, 90, of Ann
Arbor, died March 13, 2010.
He is survived by his daughter and
son-in-law, Shoshana and Jan Warner of
Ann Arbor; granddaughter, Kayla Mandel;
many loving nieces, nephews, other family
members and friends.
Mr. Freeedland was the dear brother of
the late Bella Freedland, the late Evelyn
Zalla, the late Al Freedland and the late
Brenda Karlinsky.
Interment at Arborcrest Cemetery in
Ann Arbor. Contributions may be made to

She is survived by her brother and sis-
ter-in-law, Lt. Colonel (retired) Sheldon
and Waltraud Goldberg of Silver Spring,

She was the beloved daughter of the late
Jacob and the late Bessie Goldberg; the
sister of the late Larry A. Goldberg and the
late Kenneth D. Goldberg.

Mrs. Honig was the daughter of the late
Doris and Samuel Sloan; sister-in-law of

MIRIAM "MIMI"
LUTZ, 69, of West

She was born in
Denmark during the
German occupation. She
came
to the U.S. when
Lutz
she was 8 months old.
She had a master's degree from Oakland
University and a bachelor's degree from
Michigan State University. She taught at
Clark Elementary and was nominated
Teacher of the Year.
Ms. Lutz is survived by her beloved
mother, Ruth Korn of Oak Park; twin sister
and brother-in-law, Judith and Joel Lutz
of West Bloomfield; nephews and niece,
Kevin Lutz, Michael and Michelle Lutz,
and their children, Magnus and Julia Lutz.
She was the beloved mother of the
late Jodi Lynne Lutz; daughter of the late
Mendel Korn.
