A ONE-MAN PLAY STARRING MARVIN STARKMAN
n 1948, President Truman was visited by army buddy,
former business partner, and lifelong friend, Eddie Ja-
cobson. Eddie interceded on behalf of his fellow Jews to
urge Truman's support for a UN resolution creating a
Jewish homeland in Palestine. The State Department
put a 30-year relationship in peril. This inspirational pro-
duction tells the true story of the most improbable
friendship between a Southern Baptist from Missouri
and the Jewish son of immigrants from Lithuania and of
Eddie's nearly impossible mission. Leavened with Eddie's
warm sense of humor, this production tells a story of
loyalty, courage and true determination.
