I love the sense of Jewish community that Southeastern Michigan provides. No matter how religious a person is or how long they have lived in the area, people here are friendly. personable and always willing to make someone feel at home. In addition, there is a great sense of togetherness, whether it is during times of celebration or sadness. What do you wish Southeastern Michigan could offer and what changes would you like to see happen here? I would like to see Southeastern Michigan develop into an area where businesses and tourists want to visit. The region has the potential to be filled with innovative businesses, drawing people from all over the coun- try to live here with great restaurants, cultural attractions and nightlife. Do you feel Southeastern Michigan has provided you with sufficient opportunities for your line of work? I work for a confectionery and gourmet food distributor, running the Midwest office. Southeastern Michigan has offered the opportunity to work with great business owners in many different industries. I have worked with many in our area who are resilient and entrepreneurial, finding ways to succeed despite the tough economy. Working with these people is often extremely inspiring. Why have you chosen to stay in Southeastern Michigan? More than anything else, I remained in Southeastern Michigan because of family. Extended family for both me and my wife are still in the area; raising our son, Jake, with them was extremely important to both of us. The sense of community our area provides is important to me and the way I envision Jake growing up. ✓ MArerlia61 OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (AGILITY THERAPY) • Rochester Hills • Full Time • Graduate of a professional training program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) with certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT); • Must have a current occupational therapist registration issued by the Michigan Department of Community Health; • Seeking an occupational therapist to work with rehab team at a long-term care facility; • For more information and to apply, jobs@agilitytherapy.com or www.agilitytherapy.com/jobs.asp.
