Cornell, they paid careful attention to exactly what we wanted, they took our requests
to heart and they made it our party. With Joe Cornell, it does happen."
Joe Cornell assists families every step of the party planning process, arranging
music, lighting, entertainers, dancers and party angels. The company's team of more
than 20 entertainers offers an array of experience, expertise and personality. Many
customers request entertainers by name.
"There are so many options in this industry," says Schlussel. "It's important to gather
information and consider everything before making a decision. Chemistry is important!
We connect on a personal level with each and every family that hires us."
Schlussel recommends booking entertainment 18 months before a bar or bat mitz-
vah and as soon as you have the date for a wedding, corporate event, school function
or Sweet Sixteen.
Joe Cornell entertainers play continuously from the minute they start until the end
of an event. They don't take breaks and never require attention from the host; they
consider it their job to make sure the party goes smoothly and hosts are relieved of
worries.
Requests are taken in earnest, with requested songs added seamlessly to the rota-
tion.

Joe Cornell entertainers work parties in Metro Detroit as well as throughout
the state and even long-distance — they've done parties in Ohio, Illinois, Indiana,
Washington, D.C., and Florida, as well as in East Lansing, Ann Arbor, Flint, Brighton and
Bay City.
"It's your day — and it's our job to make it more special than you could imagine,"
says Jasgur. "It's never about us — which is why families come back to us again and
again. We care, we are all a part of this community, and that shows in the way we lead
parties.
"Just the other day, I encountered the mother of a bar mitzvah boy whose party we
did almost a decade ago," he says. "She was still effusive and enthusiastic about the
way we handled her son's party — and he's in college now!
"The memories last that long and longer. That's why we're in this business: to make
a difference in the lives of our community and to celebrate the moments." I 1 1
