ning less than $100 for a fully loaded site gracing the Internet for a year.
"The thing that I wanted the most from the Web site was an easy-to-remember
Web address and our Web site allowed us to use the URL that I wanted —
erinandneil.com ," Lowen said.
She also liked that it allowed her to select music and unlimited photos of any size
and resolution. That is particularly useful when uploading pictures from family mem-
bers and friends and you don't have to worry about resizing each one.
While wedding Web sites might sound like something simply for show, they actu-
ally can be hardworkers that take some of the load off all the planning and arrange-
ments. Especially useful features are:

• RSVP Managers — This handy tool allows your guests to RSVP online to
save time and a stamp. It also can tally meal choices for multiple events and
other guest preferences.
• Seating Arrangements — Once you know who is coming, you can be
sure Aunt Sadie isn't sitting next to Aunt Betty and you can group your friends
together. Unfortunately, no site guarantees everyone will be pleased with their
table companions.
• Maps and Directions — If they've never heard of West Bloomfield or
Oak Park, or are puzzled by landing in Romulus, guests can quickly get their bear-
ings and plot their travels.

LIVONIA • TWELVE OAKS MALL • ANN ARBOR • ROYAL OAK

• Gift Registries — Link directly to wherever you suggest your guests shop
and/or donate in honor of The Big Day.

To place your custom order, please call: 248.255.1441

• Hotel and Car Links — Your group rate at the Hilton or Enterprise is just
a click away.
• Thank You Notes — After the wedding, you'll want to be sure to thank
everyone who celebrated with you and on-line organizers can list everyone's
address — e-mail and otherwise — as well as the gift you received.

But in addition to the "work" of the wedding, it's all about celebration and having
fun. Special features allow the celebration to begin early and go on well after the
band has packed up and Bubbie and Zadie are back in Florida. Erin and Neil's site
include these fun features:

• Wedding Day Countdown — When you first visit their site, you'll see
how many days, hours, minutes and seconds remain before the wedding day.

• About Us — You'll find out that Erin and Neil met at a holiday party for a
hospital in New York where they were both working, that Neil is from Montreal
and how they discovered that they had both attended Tamarack Camps, which is
based in Oakland County. You can also find out about the proposal and other fun
info.
• Events — Bridal showers, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception and any other
event you want everyone to know about can be listed online with all the relevant
details.
• Attendants — People always wonder who is in the wedding party and why.
Not anymore.
• Guest Book — Guests can weigh in with good wishes, memories and infor-
mation. It's like having a virtual reception and everyone can read everyone else's
comments.
• Photos and Videos — Nothing tells a story like a picture ... except
maybe a video. Formal, carefree, in exotic places or at home, you can tell your
story your way.

One more thing: while sharing all this information is great, some might wish for a
little more privacy — after all, not everyone is invited. If this is a concern, you can set
up a site that requires a password to enter.
To get started, just put "wedding Web site" into your Internet search engine and
find the site that is right for you. After all, you've already found the right person so
this is just a piece of cake ... Wedding cake. I
