ancy and Phillip Bortman
of Farmington Hills proudly
announce the engagement of
their son Jared to Dr. Jennifer Schear, the
daughter of Dr. Martin and Susan Schear of
Dayton, Ohio.
Jennifer graduated from the University
of Michigan and the University of
Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine
in Philadelphia. She practices dentistry in
Chicago.
Jared graduated from the University of
Michigan and the Ohio State University
College of Medicine in Columbus. He
recently completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Illinois at
Chicago and continues there as a hepatology fellow.
A May wedding is planned in Dayton, Ohio.

West Bloomfield are delighted to

daughter Lauren to Nicholas Field, son of
Virginia and Philip Field of Jackson.
Lauren earned a bachelor's degree at the
University of Michigan and a master's degree in
counseling at Oakland University in Rochester
Hills. She works as a counselor at Orchard Lake
Middle School in West Bloomfield.
Nicholas earned a bachelor's degree in
marketing at Ferris State University in Big
Rapids and works as a national account
manager at Echo Global Logistics in Troy.
Lauren and Nicholas will be married at the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester in July.

Farmington Hills are thrilled to

daughter Amy Beth to Avishay Nachon, son
of Daniel and Aviva Nachon of Holon, Israel.
Amy graduated from Michigan State
University in East Lansing with a B.A in
English literature and a specialization in
Jewish studies. She is the admissions and
recruitment coordinator for the WUJS Israel
Hadassah Program.
Avishay earned a B.A. in conducting and
composing and his M.A in labor studies
from. Tel Aviv University. He is the co-man-
aging director of Camp Kimama Israel.
