Ohrenstein 90th
T
he family of Bernard Ohrenstein
gathered in Sarasota, Fla., for a
party celebrating his 90th birthday
on Feb. 21. His daughter and son-in-law,
Peggy and Jon Bauer, both formerly of
Detroit, joined him from Andover, Mass.,
along with his sons and daughters-in-law,
David and Sharon Ohrenstein, Michael
and Martina Ohrenstein, and their fami-
lies, all of Sarasota. Also in attendance was
Ohrenstein's niece Felicia Liban of Sarasota,
as well as brother and sister-in-law George
and Roselie Ohrenstein of Walled Lake, niece
Denise (Ohrenstein) and Peter Rodgers of
Huntington Woods, niece, Flora (Ohrenstein) and Marc Friedman, both for-
mer Detroiters, now of Dallas, Texas, and niece Julia (Liban) and Ken Rose, of
Baton, Rouge, La. The party was hosted by his special friend and partner Natalie
Erdman and was also attended by many local friends.

the engagement of their son Adam
Klugman to Nisha Verma, the daughter of
Sanjiv and Pramilla Verma of Lake Tahoe, Nev.
Adam is an assistant state's attorney in
Chicago, Ill. He graduated from DePaul
University College of Law, where he was as
member of the Law Review and a Mayoral
Fellow.
Nisha is an associated of the law firm of
Winston and Strawn LLC in Chicago. She
graduated summa cum laude from DePaul
University College of Law and was the editor
of the Law Review at DePaul University College of Law.
An October wedding is planned in Lake Tahoe, Nev.

North Miami, Fla., and Norman Batansky of
Ardmore, Pa.
Andrew graduated from University of
Baltimore School of Law. He is employed as
an attorney in Towson, Md. Alison graduated
from Towson University in Baltimore, Md.,
with a M.A. in speech-language pathology.
She is a speech-language pathologist with
Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore.
A May 2010 wedding is planned in Baltimore.
