She was cared for by many loving
aunts, uncles, cousins and courtesy
family-like friends who bound together
in supporting her. She was cheered in
her final months by encouraging words
from high school, college friends, Camp
Tamarack alumni, fellow Young Judains,
her community in Teaneck and those
with whom she shared experiences
during her life. Ms. Steinmetz posted a
journal on the Web site Caringbridge,
eloquently expressing with courage and
humor her deepest emotions about her
condition.
