Mr. Dubin was the brother of the
late Arlene (the late Sidney) Lerman;
brother-in-law of the late Simson
Sendler; nephew of the late Jack
Schon.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery
in Ferndale. Contributions may be
made to the Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit or to a char-

THEODORE
HARRY GORDON,
87, died Jan. 15,
2010, at his home in
Ottawa Hills, Ohio.
He was born Oct.
16, 1922, in Monroe,
Mich., to Joseph and
Gordon
Florence Gordon.
A talented athlete, he was known as
"Speedy Gordon" and played varsity
basketball for three years, beginning as
a sophomore, for Monroe High School.
He was recognized as a High School
All State Basketball Player in Michigan
for his many accomplishments on the
court. Mr. Gordon was able to continue
playing basketball while serving in
the U. S. Army and obtained the rank
of major before being honorably dis-
charged.
He graduated from Michigan State
University in 1947 with a bachelor's
degree in chemical engineering. His
career took him all over the world
and he settled in Montreal, Canada,
for a short time before returning to
the Toledo area. He worked for vari-
ous Toledo area companies including
Plascon, Maumee Chemical, LOF
and 01. He held a number of patents
in his profession and continued to
do consulting work for several busi-
nesses after retiring.
Mr. Gordon is survived by his
wife of 56 years, Eleanor; daughter,
Terribeth (Tim) Moore; grandson,
Timothy Moore Jr.; sister, Dorothy
Goldberg of Marlton, N.J.; sister-in-
law, Minette Gordon of Kansas City,
Kan.; nieces, Faye (Henry) Lybeck
of Bloomfield Hills, Ellen (Samuel)
Shapiro of Marlton, N.J., Paula
(Andrew) Rutenstein of Israel, Pamela
Nelson of Baltimore, Md., Rochelle
Joffe of Oak Park; nephews, Theodore
(Marla) Goldberg of Arlington Hts.,
Ill., Adam Gordon of Boston, Mass.;
nine great-nephews, six great-nieces,
six great-grandnieces, two great-
grandnephews and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his
parents, sisters Esther Waddell, Diana
Joffe and brother David M. Gordon.
Contributions may be made to his
scholarship at Monroe High School or
a charity of ones choice. Interment at
Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
