DONALD MARRICH, 84, of Southfield,
died Jan. 31, 2010.
He was the owner of Industrial Uniform
and Towel Service.
Mr. Marrich is survived by his daugh-
ters and sons-in-law, Karen and Dr. Robert
Krohner of Pennsylvania, Diane Marrich-
Simon and David Simon of Birmingham,
Lisa Joy and Robert Gordon of Farmington
Hills; grandchildren, Matthew Krohner,
Noah Krohner and fiancee, Kelsey Noel,
Gavrielle Krohner, Zoe Marrich Simon
and Spenser Marrich Simon; companion,
Davida Gale; caregiver, Julia Perry.
He was the beloved husband of the late
Ghinda Lee Marrich.

DAVID BRUCE NEWMAN, 61, of
Southfield, died Jan. 25, 2010.
He is survived by his beloved wife,
Ahuva Newman; son, Ari Benjamin
Newman of Southfield; daughter, Michal

and sisters-in-law, Ronald and Karen
Newman of Pittsford, N.Y., Martin and
Sheila Newman of Stamford, Conn.; many
loving nieces, nephews, other family mem-
bers and friends in Israel.
Interment at the Adat Shalom Memorial
Park Cemetery in Livonia. Contributions

LOUIS M. POPPER, 85,
of West Bloomfield, died
Jan. 24, 2010, on his
85th birthday.
He was the founder
and owner of Empire
Packing Company,
which was founded in
Popper
1950. He was also active
in JARC and B'nai B'rith
and was a World War II veteran.
He had a great sense of humor and was
a kind and generous man. He had a zest
for life and a true love for all his fam-
ily and friends. He will be missed by all
whose lives he touched so richly.
Mr. Popper is survived by his sons and

DR. DAVID L. POUSHTER, 85, who was
born in Syracuse, died Monday, Jan. 18,
2001, in Rochester, N.Y. After graduat-
ing Syracuse University medical school

in 1947, he completed his residency at
Harper Hospital, Detroit. During five
decades of practice in ENT, he held the
positions of chief of staff at Crouse-
Irving Memorial and Community
General Hospitals, president of Onondaga
County Medical Society, president of the
Triological Society and clinical professor
at Upstate Medical Center.
He was also active in the Jewish com-
munity serving as president of Temple
Adath Yeshurun and VP of Syracuse
Jewish Federation.
He received the Esther and Joseph
Roth Jewish Community and Leadership
Award and the Israel Bonds Maimonides
Award.
He was predeceased by his wife,
Phyllis, this past June. Survived by three
daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Dr.
Larry Lublin of Bloomfield Hills, Susan
and David Rothenberg of Rochester,
N.Y., Karen and Tom Kinneman of North
Andover, Mass.; six grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren, including Stacy and
Jonathan Brand of Royal Oak and Jeremy
and Julie Lublin of Canton.
