• Tu b'Shevat will be part of a larger ecology-focused event at the Downtown Synagogue
in Detroit, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30. In addition to learning about the New Year of
Trees and eating special foods, an open forum will explore urban agriculture in Detroit.
Representatives of groups involved with urban farming and healthy eating will talk about
their efforts to rebuild the city. All faiths are invited to join Downtown Detroit's Jewish
