Matthew Berry, a Yale Law School graduate, is a former general coun- sel of the Federal Communications Commission. He worked to accelerate broadband deployment across the nation, encourage greater competition within the cable TV industry, safe- guard consumer privacy and promote use of communications technology to improve public safety. Berry has served as a law clerk to U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and Judge Laurence Silberman of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. He worked on counterterrorism policy at the U.S. Department of Justice and defended the constitutionality of school choice programs at the Institute for Justice. He served on the Arlington County Human Rights Commission.
