Ella received her B.A. in education from
Michigan State University in East Lansing
and is completing a master's degree in edu-
cation at Oakland University.
Zachary is the vice president of Midwest
Linen and Uniform Service.
Ella and Zach met 13 years ago at camp
at the Jewish Community Center. An August
wedding is planned.

the Smith grandchildren and great-grand-
children; niece Barbara Rosenberg (Alan);
friends, Drs. Jim and Jackie Grekin of West
Bloomfield. Mrs. Raisin has two other chil-
dren, Judy Singer (Bobby) of Palm Springs
and Richard Raisin of Davisburg, Mich.;
eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren
in Phoenix. She possesses an indomitable spirit and is a nurturing matriarch to
all.

She celebrated with her family in
snowy Michigan before heading south. Her
children, Harold and Judy Etkin, Johanne
and William Finley and Helen Etkin, as well
as her grandchildren, Rebecca and Justin
Aldea, Nicole Etkin from Chicago, Jessica
Etkin from Denver and Allison Etkin from
Los Angeles, were present for this special
