Mr. Robinson was a graduate of City College of New York and yhe University of Michigan. He worked as a CPA and val- ued business advisor. He was a founder of Robinson, Pietras, Kalisky & Co. PC, a former president of Southfield City Council, a member of the founding com- mittee of the University of Michigan Alumni Association's Camp Michigania and a life member of Congregation Shaarey Zedek. Mr. Robinson is survived by his devoted wife, Zelda (Cohen); chil- dren, Harriett (Keith Bruns) and Ellen (Aaron) Krumbein; grandchildren, Abby Krumbein, Rachel Krumbein, Ari Krumbein, and Ethan Bruns; brother of Jules Teck, Barbara (Bill) Schiffman and Martha Lathrop. NORMAN ROBERT SCHAKNE, 82, of Bloomfield Hills, died Dec. 26, 2009. Dr. Schakne was a graduate of Riverside Military Academy; University of Michigan Schakne and Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed his internship at Sinai Hospital and completed his residen- cy in psychiatry at Clinton Valley Hospital. He was a founder of Oakland Mental Health Associates and he had a general practice of psychiatry for more than 46 years covering the Detroit TriCounty area with an emphasis on emergency psychiat- ric care. Dr. Schanke served in the United States Army during World War II in the Occupation Troupes in Italy and was deco- rated with a Victory Medal.
