of West Bloomfield celebrated
their 50th wedding anniver-
sary over Thanksgiving weekend in Las
Vegas with their children and grandchil-
dren: Steven Michaels, Neil and Daniel
Michaels, David, April, Jacob and Jordyn
Michaels. They were joined by Harold's
sister, Sheila Michalowsky, and sur-
prised by Pauline's sister and brother-
in-law, Brenda and Haim Nissan from
Petach Tikva, Israel. Harold and Pauline
were married on Dec. 24, 1959.

r. John and Cheryl Slaim of
Farmington Hills are thrilled to
announce the engagement of
their daughter Jennifer Slaim to Michael
Rasansky, son of Dr. Ron and Cheryl
Rasansky of West Bloomfield.
Jennifer graduated from the Kelley
School of Business at Indiana University
Bloomington with a dual degree in manage-
ment and entrepreneurship. She works at
Temple Israel in West Bloomfield.
Michael graduated from University of
Michigan in Ann Arbor with a degree in
philosophy. He then graduated from Nova
Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., earning his doctor of osteopathic
medicine degree. He is finishing his ophthalmology residency at POH Regional
Medical Center.
A May wedding is planned.

M is Rocha and Marc Goldman
were married recently in a pri-
vate ceremony in Kauai, Hawaii.
Mia is the daughter of Miriam Ventura
of Springfield, N.J., and Anselmo Rocha of
Londrina, Brazil. Marc is the son of Edie and
Alan Goldman of Farmington Hills.
After their wedding, the couple honey-
mooned in Moorea and Bora Bora, Tahiti.
During Thanksgiving weekend, the newly-
weds were honored at a party hosted by the
groom's parents.
In February, they will have another party
in Brazil, hosted by the bride's parents.
The couple reside in Irvine, Calif.
